Interesting but sad.

Not a good month for cartoon chatracters.

Henry Corden, actor and voice of Fred Flintstone, died May 19, 2005 of Emphysema. He was 85.

Thurl Ravenscroft, best known as the voice of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes mascot Tony the Tiger, died May 22, 2005 from prostate cancer. He was 91.

Paul Winchell, a ventriloquist, inventor and children's TV show host best known for creating the lispy voice of Winnie the Pooh's animated friend Tigger, died on June 24. He was 82.

And finally, John Fiedler, a stage actor who won fame as the voice of Piglet in Walt Disney's Winnie-the-Pooh films, died on June 24, 2005 (same day as Tigger). Fiedler was 80.
