That is only valid is we assume that vampirism id spread like Zombifsication, through bites only. Unfortunately popular myth has all but proven that in order to be turned to a vampire, the bitten must then drink of the blood of the vampire. Most vampires it would seem, do not employ this, choosing only to eat their victims. This makes the research invalid. :)
